Guidance & Answers

Healing is a deeply personal experience, and curiosity is part of the process. We’ve gathered answers to common questions so you can feel guided, informed, and at ease before your session.
  • Who is Aski Balance for?

We serve Nations, urban Indigenous groups, and communities across Saskatchewan who want safe, restorative healing. Our services welcome Elders, youth, staff, and members. We show up where the people are, not the other way around.

  • What makes this different from mainstream wellness services?

Our approach is grounded in Indigenous worldviews. That means we move with the seasons, respect community protocols, and invite Elders’ guidance. Healing is relational, mobile, and done in a respectful way.

  • Do I have to share personal stories in a session?

No. Our trauma-aware model ensures there is no requirement for personal disclosure. You choose what, if anything, you share. Consent, choice, and safe boundaries are central to every session.

  • What do sessions look like?

A typical day may include one-on-one Reiki sessions or group sound healing with singing bowls. Each participant receives aftercare resources, and there is a virtual integration session for follow-up. Sessions are practical and spiritual—focused on calm, balance, and connection.

  • How does the community benefit?

We measure outcomes through participation rates, client self-ratings of calm or rest, and repeat invitations from communities. Most importantly, the benefits are reflected in personal stories of healing and change,

    shared with consent.

  • How do we bring Aski Balance to our Nation?

Leadership or wellness staff can connect with us to co-develop the visit. We plan around cultural calendars, arrange travel, and confirm through a deposit. Multi-day visits are available when equipment can remain on

    site.

  • What values guide your team?

Cultural integrity, privacy, accessibility, and mobility guide our work. We ensure all practices are delivered with respect, confidentiality, and in a way that is accessible for both rural and urban communities.

  • What is Reiki?

Reiki is a non-invasive healing practice that works with the body’s natural energy to support nervous system regulation, emotional release, and spiritual balance. It is gentle, restorative, and adaptable to the

    individual’s needs.

  • How is Reiki administered?

Reiki may be delivered with light touch or with hands positioned slightly above the body, depending on client preference. Clients remain fully clothed, and the process is designed to encourage relaxation and

    energetic alignment.

  • Does Reiki need to be hands-on?

No. Reiki can be provided with or without direct touch. The client chooses the method they are most comfortable with, ensuring the session feels safe and respectful.

  • Do you incorporate Indigenous spirituality into each session?

We integrate Indigenous approaches when requested and appropriate, always with respect for cultural protocols and the guidance of Elders. Each session is tailored to the community and individual, with cultural safety at the forefront.

  • Can we choose what kind of sessions or events take place?

Yes. We collaborate with Nations and organizations to design the visit. Options may include individual Reiki, group sound healing, or workshops. Communities are active partners in shaping what the event

    looks like.

Corporate, Non-Profit & Indigenous Organization Sessions

  • Q: How are sessions structured for organizations?

Each session day is customized to your team’s needs. We typically offer a full-day format (8:00 AM–10 PM) that can include 30- or 50-minute one-on-one sessions. These can be scheduled during lunch hours, wellness days, or retreats.

  • What modalities are available?

Organizations can choose from Reiki, guided meditation, sound healing, or group energy balancing. Each session can include optional add-ons such as crystal bowl sound therapy or mindfulness circles for collective grounding.

  • Can sessions be held at our workplace?

Yes. Aski Balance is fully mobile and can set up within a quiet, private space at your chosen location. All equipment, intake forms, and aftercare materials are provided.

  • How many participants can be accommodated per day?

A standard on-site day supports up to 10 participants, but larger groups can be accommodated with shorter sessions or multi-day bookings. Consecutive days receive a discount when the equipment can remain on-site.

  • What outcomes can we expect?

Organizations often report increased calm, focus, and emotional balance among staff. Participants leave with simple grounding tools to continue integrating wellness beyond the session.

  • How do we book or request pricing?

Pricing is tailored to your organization’s size, location, and desired modalities. Please contact Aski Balance for a quote and availability. Early booking is encouraged for wellness days, Christmas gatherings, and employee appreciation events.
